  3. TS-440S MARS MOD

  5. To modify your TS-440S for MARS/CAP, follow the instructions listed 
  6. in the operators manual for enabling the 10 HZ resolution, and clip 
  7. DIODE 80 while you are in the same area. It is located upper left 
  8. from where you found DIODE 66 at the end of the PC board (it will 
  9. xmit where ever you can receive). These diodes are mounted 90 degrees 
  10. from the board and are easy to spot.

  12. Reset the radio when you turn it on and that is all. 
  13. To reset turn power on while holding in the A-B switch. 
  14.  
  15. CAUTION: Reseting will wipe out all 100 memory frequencies so you will have
  16.          to reload them.

  18. NOTE: Transmitting non-distress calls outside ham frequencies could result
  19.       in stiff fines, possible imprisonment and loss of your amateur license!
